Where did you complete your higher education?

My under graduate degree was completed at the University of Cincinnati. My graduate degree was completed at the University of Akron.


When did you join the Galvin Therapy Center?

I joined the Galvin Therapy Center staff in June 2016.

Your special areas of interest include:

Areas of interest include social language skills, augmentative and alternative communication, early intervention for children with autism spectrum disorder.

What varied experience do you have in your field?

I have experience working in a school setting as well as in a clinic based setting.

What licenses, certifications and/or special training do you hold?

  • Introductory Early Start Denver Model training
  • Social Thinking
  • Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)

What are you passionate about?

Making a difference for a child and their family by increasing functional communication.

What inspired you to pursue your current career path?

I always wanted a career where I could help others. Early in my education, I did volunteer work at Cincinnati Children's Hospital which eventually led me to a career path as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

What do you enjoy most about your work?

I enjoy making speech therapy a motivating and play based experience for my clients. I also enjoy collaborating with families as well as other disciplines within the Galvin Therapy Center.
