Where did you complete your higher education?

I completed my bachelors in health sciences at Kent State University and then went on to get my OTA at Brown Mackie College.

When did you join the Galvin Therapy Center?

I became a member of the Galvin Therapy Center staff on April 18, 2016. I also fulfilled my college fieldwork requirements at the Galvin Therapy Center.

Your special areas of interest include:

  • Sensory processing
  • Gross motor

What varied experience do you have in your field?

I have 2 years of experience working in a school setting. During that time, I worked with children on the autism spectrum as well as other behavioral disorders.

What are you passionate about?

Making a difference in the lives of children and their families, as well as striving to better myself through continuing education.

What inspired you to pursue your current career path?

I realized early on that I enjoyed working with children, which led to the decision to become an occupational therapist. I soon realized that I was more interested in the actual treatment than the process of evaluating a child. This realization lead me to pursue a career as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA).

What do you enjoy most about your work?

Working with a variety of professionals as well as families and their children.
