The Sequential Oral Sensory Approach to Feeding (SOS Approach)

Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach is a program that addresses feeding issues in children of all ages. The SOS approach includes multidisciplinary team involvement which assesses the child as a whole including: muscular and sensory development, oral-motor skills, behavior, and learning. The assessment information is then used to develop a program which focuses on increasing the child’s comfort level around food.
