What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?
What Iʼm most passionate about professionally is making a real difference in the childʼs life. I love to the see the progress the child had made and all the goals the child has accomplished throughout the school year. I find it very rewarding! Personally, Iʼm most passionate about my family and friends. They ‘re the best support system that I have, and I do my best to be the same for them!
What are you complimented on most in your work?
I ‘m most complimented on how patient I am with my students,and how effective I am at communication.
What would you do even if you didnʼt get paid to do?
Iʼd volunteer or open my own animal shelter!
What are you surprisingly good at?
Singing! I love to sing and listen to music.
Whatʼs the biggest proof that youʼre good at what you do?
My students LOVE me and are always so excited to see me!
How long have you been working in your field?
I have been in the Early Childhood field for 6 years. I graduated High School with two years in Early Childhood Education. That gave me he opportunity to gain a position at a local Childcare and Montessori school where I was able to gain 4 more years as an Early Childhood professional. I gained experience working with children ages 3 months to 12 years old. My primary position there was a Certified Montessori Teacher. Although I ‘m new to the ABA Therapy program that the Galvin Therapy Center offers I ‘m confident that my experience in teaching will take me far!
Whatʼs your biggest accomplishment?
My biggest accomplishment is finally finding my true calling! Iʼve always had a fascination with human behavior. I also love working with children! This position as a Beh’vioral Therapy Technician gives me the opportunity to explore both paths.
How does your education connect to your professional career? What about personally?
What about personal experiences? I graduated from high school with two years of Early Childhood Education from the Lorain County JVS. I had hands on experience working with children and creating lesson plans and materials for the classroom. I have also taken Early Childhood Education related classes at Lorain County Community College which helped me to gain skills and resources that are necessary in current day education. Personally, I grew up with three nephews starting at the early age of seven. I always had hands on experience playing and taking care of them. I enjoyed it so much that it inspired me to get into the Early Childhood field.
What problems do you consistently solve for your clients?
I consistently solve various problems for my clients. My work is based on the set goals for the individual child. I work weekly to implement these goals to keep the child on track for consistent progress. I also keep an open line of communication with family and our center to address any other future problems.
