Barry Parrino

Occupational Therapy Assistant

Barry Parrino is an Occupational Therapy Assistant who has worked with preschool children in our Early Start Autism Program and in Galvin’s outpatient program since 2016.  He has additional experience with children with autism, as well as children with cerebral palsy and other significant motor/mobility challenges.  Barry finds joy in his work and cares about holistically improving the lives of his clients and their loved ones. Barry lives in Chagrin Falls with his two daughters and wife, who is a pediatric Occupational Therapist.  Barry’s family is his greatest motivator, and his wife’s work as an OT is a constant source of inspiration and knowledge that has perpetually helped him to maintain a humble and research-based approach as an OTA. Barry’s hobbies and other interests include reading, watching films, writing and playing music, being out amongst nature, and performing stand-up comedy. One of his favorite quotes is that of Muhammad Ali who said, “Impossible is not a fact, it is an opinion.” What motivates Barry as an OTA is his belief that we are all called upon to provide a therapeutic use of ourselves, such that even the smallest or most challenging moments, with the proper knowledge, patience, and intent, can be influenced by our presence.
