Gillian Bell
Occupational Therapist
Gillian Bell, an Occupational Therapist, first joined the Galvin Therapy Center team in January 2023. Gillian graduated with her B.G.S. from Eastern Michigan University in 2017, concentrating in Psychology, Health and Gender Communications, and Biology. She then received her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Michigan University in 2022. She did a fieldwork rotation at Bay Cliff Health Camp in Marquette, Michigan that solidified her passion for working with children with developmental disabilities, social-emotional deficits, and autism spectrum disorder. She enjoyed teaching kids to ride bikes, tie shoes, socialize in daily living skills, and learn to swim with adaptive equipment on beach days in Lake Superior. Gillian enjoys helping children learn through meaningful activities that play to their strengths in a fun way! She has always had a passion for helping children turn their biggest challenges into success stories. It gives her joy to see children smile and say, “I can do this!”. After moving back to Ohio, she focused on finding a creative and collaborative team in hopes to grow her therapeutic interests and found a home at Galvin Therapy Center. In her spare time, Gillian loves finding new hiking trails to explore with her family and dog, Cash, drawing, reading, and a new-found hobby: crocheting!
