Kristen Pataki is an Occupational Therapist at Galvin Therapy Center. She has been part of the Galvin Therapy team since 2011, having previously been a fieldwork student in 2009. Kristen earned her B.A. in Psychology from Ohio University and her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from The University of Toledo. She works with clients from 0-21 addressing sensory processing, developmental delays, self-regulation, socialization, fine motor, motor planning, and cognitive delays. Kristen has had experience working in schools, outpatient clinics, and community settings with the pediatric population. She really loves the children and families she gets to works with and enjoys seeing each child progress and achieve things that they didn’t think were possible. In addition to her work at Galvin Therapy Center, Kristen is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program at Cleveland State University. Kristen is interested in aquatic therapy using the water as a method for addressing sensory processing with children. She has developed and runs the SwimSations program. One of Kristen’s favorite quotes is by Maya Angelou: “I’ve learned people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel”, and she tries to live by this when working with her children and families. When not working, Kristen enjoys cooking, crafting, going to country concerts, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She loves watching her children grow at school and with their leisure occupations.
