Stephanie Hewitt is a Speech-Language Pathologist who enjoys working with the pediatric population in order to improve their functional communication skills. She has worked as a SLP since 2016. Stephanie attended Bowling Green State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence and is a proud member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Stephanie has developed strong clinical skills in the areas of speech, language, cognition, fluency, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and continues to learn and gain experience in the field. Stephanie has always wanted to work with the pediatric population and has a deep passion for working with children who have a variety of developmental disabilities. She joined the Galvin Therapy team in 2020 and enjoys the collaboration, friendly staff, and amazing kids. Prior to working at Galvin Therapy Center, Stephanie worked for the Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities at Broadmoor School providing speech therapy services to preschool-aged children with a variety of developmental disorders. She also spent time working in nursing homes with the elderly population before returning to her work in pediatrics. Stephanie enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Watching her patients achieve their goals and seeing the joy it brings them and their families is what motivates her every day. Stephanie believes every child deserves a voice and the opportunity to communicate with their family and peers.
