Aquatic Therapy
What is Aquatic Therapy?
Aquatic Therapy is an evidenced-based practice and clinical reasoning model using the water as a therapeutic modality during occupational and physical therapy sessions. The water becomes a powerful tool used to engage sensory, motor, neurological and cognitive systems during OT and PT. Based on a thorough evaluation, and in collaboration with the child and family, an OT/PT at Galvin Therapy Center will develop an individualized plan using aquatic therapy to address underlying and functional deficits.
